This is a real picture, there has been no photoshopping of a leash or tie out |
However this year, again, under very restricted situations, Lee has been doing a good job at being off leash in the yard (100% supervised as we don't have a fence) for short periods of time. Generally, she has been much better at this kind of thing for Man than Lady (which really makes Lady made as she is the one who has spent the most hours training Lee), but she seems to be doing equally well with both!
We are not sure what has lead to this change. Is it maturity? Age? Whatever it is, we will enjoy it.
Well done Lee, you look soooo happy rolling there

Bravo Professor Lee!!!! we work on this topic too and we hope with whoa-training we can see some progress... I'm older now and I'm not Paavo Nurmi...it's impossible to win a race against the dogs ;O)

There is nothing better than rolling in the grass! Good for you for working so hard and getting to be off-leash, Hailey!

Good work, Hailey!!! Mom says all the training in the world would never make her comfortable enough to let us off leash - she would never be able to keep up with us if we took off:)

Good job!!! Like the OP Pack, we are NEVER allowed off lead. It's a Siberian thing. We'd take off at 50 mph. we can't help it -- it's in our DNA.

Margaret Thatcher
You're a good girl, Lee!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your success! That's wonderful!

Well done Lee, and that smile says you know it! We have a couple in our crew (TODD!!) that I doubt will ever be able to be off lead. But our girl Cissy, I just open the door, and she walks herself and comes back when she wants.
ReplyDeleteGood job Lee!

Squee! Don't you love it when you have success moments? Pawsome job, Lee!
ReplyDeleteDear Ojo's Cousin Lee,
ReplyDeleteHurray for off leash! Ojo has a sort of similar problem - she goes very far and forgets to come back. She too is getting better as she gets older, BUT yesterday she kept running for a road and so she got Leash put back on. I am GOOD, and I got to stay off leash. So maybe if you are GOOD too you can also stay off leash? Stay close, okay? Then you can do more grass rolling!
Licks,
Cobi
ReplyDeleteYou do look extra happy off leash Lee. Well done! Avalon can now be off leash quite a bit thanks to Wilhelmina who listens very well. When I call Wilhelmina, Avalon comes running as well :)
