I heard it on the radio for the first time some months after I lost my Ceilidh, I was in tears by the end of that chorus and bawling by the end of the song. So yes, I know we have to take the bad to really appreciate the good.
Those words are so true. Had I not had the heartbreak in my life years ago, I'd not have appreciated the quiet man I married who has become my best friend.
Once upon a time Mom walked four of us - but not any more. Two is her max. That was one wild walk with all three of you. We know for sure that our Mom would have turned and run the opposite way if she saw that porcupine or even the loose dogs. Loose dogs can cause a lot of trouble for the humans with properly leashed pups.
