Mischief Monday - And the big ones chewed on the bones-o

First: Yes, Lady and Man track their anniversary in dog years (it is kind of a family thing).

Now to the mischief!

We had one mischief on our travels. The big guy had placed a garbage bag with rib bones in a location that was accessible to the pups. This was a complete accident on his part. We know at least 2/3 dogs had a little feast because after the discovery, I did a breath check and Phody and Tendra had very meaty breaths. Barley's wasn't as strong.

The day after this incident, Phod had a bit of an upset stomach. He pooped a lot, like 8 times and the last few were very liquidly. Fortunately this was Wednesday, so his tummy was better for our trip.

The bones didn't stop him from playing. Here he is swimming.
Notice he may share bones, but he won't share his ball!

If you have missed it, next week is safety week on Blogville. This great event is being hosted by Sarge. We will share more details about it later this week (likely Friday). We are participating by posting on August 12 about Wild Life Encounters. We hope it is a fun and informative post (Hailey and I will be sharing our thoughts on this) and we hope you stop by.

  7. Oh, I am not allowed cooked bones. They can make a dog really sick and even scratch up your insides. Hey, I am posting on the 12th for Safety Week too! How fun we will be talking safety on the same day.

  8. Oh poor Phod ... but I have to admit I would like the content of that garbage bag too. I'm glad you are ok and the bones left your tummy via rear exit without serious problems.

  13. What a SCORE! Bones left down low. Well, there wasn't anything pups could do but eat them.. They attract vermin into the house if left alone, you know!

  14. Phod you are a great fetcher!! I hope your tummy is better. We've heard some water has bacteria in it that can upset tummies. One of our friends got it shortly after moving to Alabama

  15. Why that looks like a great place to swim. The hip bone is connected to the rib bone, were there any hip bones? She smells your breath for evidence, that is really getting up close and personal.
I am joining in on Safety Week also. I am up on the 16th.
    Thanks for being a friend
