Lee has never really loved to play fetch. When we lived in the city and took her to the park, she might chase her ball a couple of times and then would leave it to go and smell things. She would steal other dogs balls to get them to chase her. Slowly we are working on getting her to play for short periods of time. She seems to like it (I think mostly because she knows Phod really, really wants the ball). Here she is in action. You may notice her tie out in some of the pictures. Lee can be "off leash" in the yard if she has the tie out, not tied to anything on.

Can you see the ball? |
Neither of my boys have ever been ball chasers until recently - all of a sudden Denny loves it - he chases after the ball and brings it right back and drops it at my feet. His only quirk is he likes the rolls rolled along the ground rather than thrown :)
ReplyDeleteGo for it Lee and enjoy your fun. Have a super Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly

Great action shots! I bet she learns to love the ball. Funny, my labrador *retriever* (Shyla) didn't like to retrieve when she first arrived here. But, she quickly learned... and now it's her reward for a well-done agility run.
ReplyDeleteYou live to play ball! Look at those moves

This is exactly like me and Stanley! Stanley only wants the ball to keep it away from me. How can he NOT crave the art of fetching balls? I will never understand these doggies that do not LOVE a ball!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,

I chase the ball, but don't bring it back - you threw it!
