Like 2 years ago Canada Post said we were getting a new mailbox. They sent keys. Lady kept the keys. Last week, with no warning a new box showed up. Lady's key didn't fit in any of the slots. She and Man tried many times. It was so boring to watch.
Turns out the keys then sent 8700 years ago weren't for this box and they had made a mistake in not giving us new keys. We were able to pick the new keys up at the grocery store the next day. Give Lady's online shopping problem, it is good it was only a problem for one day!
oooh that's a case for us.. we come over and travel through da whole catnada together to find the box where your keys fit ...

ReplyDelete... but this begs the question as to how the post was being kept in the intervening 87XX years??? Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Phod and Lee, may I add my complaint about postal problems? I sent a birthday package (from SE USA) to my cousin, who lives about 50 mins south of Ottawa, stupidly including the card in the package. 5 weeks later it (just) arrived, although I confess that *most* of that time, it spent in the USA. S0 aggravating!
ReplyDeleteYou do look very bored while waiting for the she testing and I'm so glad that it was only over night that your packages would be locked away and unable to pick up what you had ordered online. Here when we order online it's not locked up it's just long on the front porch. I have to say that I will not take up your whole post today with my thoughts about the United States mail. It's a mess is the easiest way to say it
ReplyDeleteWe're glad your pawrents got the right keys. What if your mom ordered something your you and it was stuck in the box?
ReplyDeleteYikes! Thank goodness that problem was resolved quickly!
ReplyDeleteWell, perhaps you're lucky to have "locked boxes" as many, many in the US are just wide open to any who might like to take a look inside and help themselves to whatever may be there ...
ReplyDeleteYou mean that if you can't get into the mailbox you still have to pay the bills???

Things are never as easy as they should be. Thank goodness everything got squared away before you kids were bored to tears.

Of course you didn't get the right key, or any key right away. It's a government operation, and that's how they roll! At least here they do! 😊
ReplyDeleteHi friends! Ojo here! This sounds like a boring adventure indeed. But perhaps something amazing for you might arrive in the new box?
ReplyDeleteYour Post Office sounds like it might be run by the same fools we have here. 🙄
