Dear pals,
The summer is quickly drawing to the end, my peeps have settled into a new routine. The Man continues to work from home. The Lady leaves the house for work 2 days per week. We miss her terribly when she is gone and make her feel bad by acting so excited and pretending the Man completely neglected us all day. They have also had the nerve to both go out a few times. Imagine, thinking it is ok to leave us alone.
Lady makes sure we get our walks. Somedays over the past few weeks it has just been me and her as depending on how Phod's ankle feels, he can't go. It had been doing very well and then he snuck into the hole and dug too much and could barely walk for 2 days. This morning he broke the resting rules by charging at a jogger on our road. He always stops about 2 feet away and barks. People don't like this. I was an angel and stayed in the yard (ok, I was on leash and couldn't go anywhere).
Speaking of being on leash, except the time I kind of wandered into the bush (on our property) and the Man had to walk in and his legs got all cut up on the raspberry bushes, I have been very good off leash.
So as you can see there is not much happening. Just us hanging out and enjoying the rest of summer.
Hailey Bug

ReplyDeleteLife just rolling along as life does, then... sorry the paw is still a bit ouchy, Phod. Maybe making unbidden charges to the boundary should be off limits for a while? Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
You seem to always find the sunny spot to hang out Hailey. We're sorry to hear Phod isn't feeling 100% yet and will keep our paws crossed that he feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteI see that both of you have found those wonderfully relaxing sun puddles!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back here seems like life is continuing on with its ups and downs and roller coaster going on. That's happening with us to I do hope the ankle is better today! You sure look happy in the sun totals
ReplyDeleteLee...my goodness things are changing a bit...but good to see you are keeping Man company. I know he is attentive to you and Phod. Phod darling...no rushing out to the strangers...or digging holes.

So nice to see you both have adjusted to the new routine...and we bet your Lady really wishes she could stay home with you all the time!
ReplyDeleteSame here, Hailey and Phod. It's hot again and walking isn't a lot of fun unless we go very early in the morning. We hope Phod will rest that paw and be better soon.

Well, at least the lady is home the other 5 days. That's a good thing!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy da rest of summer!
ReplyDeleteHanging out is a good way to spend summer days.
ReplyDeleteResting is a tough nut to crack. I am with Phod on this one. When I am supposed to rest and accidentally start jumping around like a kook, Mom says I will give her 2 heart attacks and 5 strokes one of these days.

I always know when my ghostwriter is going to work when she wears her white pants. I give her the cold shoulder as she leaves because I know she'll be gone for 8 hours, and sometimes more. Good thing dad is retired!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your sun puddle!
