They were very friendly and clearly well taken care of. They were both wearing shock collars but no tags.
One of my colleagues snapped pictures of them and put them on a lost and found dog Facebook page.
Another got the dogs into the school into an empty classroom. I went and found a big bowl and got them some water. Some staff found some cheese to give them. These dogs found the perfect place to be lost as most of the staff at the centre are dog owners and lovers!
Within 15 minutes the owners had been found and within 40 the dogs had been picked up. Their owner said they were grounded!
It was a fun start to a Thursday and a reminder to have a phone number on your pups when they are out.
that was nice to help out this two friends... and how great that they are back at home now.... thanks to you!!!

ReplyDeleteBOL... they had a good caper and you got some fur time!!! YAM xx
Thank goodness they are okay and back home!
ReplyDeleteThey were lucky dogs to have been found by all of you.
ReplyDeleteso glad this worked out well for the dogs..
ReplyDeleteThose pups are very lucky they were found by such great people!
ReplyDeleteWe're glad to hear it was a happy ending for those pups. Sadly those shock collars often prevent dogs from going home once they've broken out since they don't want to get zapped going back through the invisible fence.
ReplyDeleteI think those pups could smell kindness and THEY were smart to not be afraid. Yikes something was obviously malfunctioning if they got out peeps might need some demerits.

Visiting your office was probably the highlight of their adventure!
ReplyDeleteSo glad those doggies' owners were found so quickly.
ReplyDeleteHi hi hi! Ojo here! We are glad they found their people quickly!
ReplyDeleteWhew...We are glad these two were reunited with their people!

And a reminder that shock collars can be counterproductive -- they don't stop a pup who is intent on chasing a bunny or something from leaving the yard, but it CAN keep them from coming back in after the excitement has worn off!
ReplyDeleteOne of the best aspects of social media. We have the Next Door app here and so many pups and kitties can get reunited by people who use it. So glad these two found their way home. That second one looks like he had Lightning's head and Timber's body:)

It only takes a second for escape artists to drive their pawrents crazy. Thanks for the phone number reminder. This is definitely one time were social media proved more than helpful.
