Mischief Monday - Repaired

When we first moved into our home almost 7 years ago, we had been in the house for 10 days when Hailey did the following:

Hole from 10 days ago

The Man did a decent job fixing it for a person who has no experience with this type of thing.

Then at the end of July of this year, Miss Lee made this happen.

New hole

Because we learned from time one, drywall repair is not our speciality, and because we are in a slightly different financial situation (i.e. we didn't just move, adopt a second dog, and we aren't carrying 2 mortgages) we hired a handyman to come and fix it.

He finished the job last week. While he was in the hall, the dogs were suppose to be downstairs but . . . . . . . .

Zaphod managed to sneak upstairs but with a few reminders stayed out of the way.

Hailey had no problem staying downstairs while strangers were upstairs.

Now, for the first time in almost 7 years, we have a complete wall at the front door (and it is all painted the same colour as the paint we had was slightly off - who knew they could colour match paint? Not this not at all handy gal!). We are hoping to enjoy this section of complete wall for more than 10 days.

And of course the new spot is all finished too.

We are hopeful we will never had to fix Hailey destroyed walls again.

  1. oh we hope that the wall will look so beautiful now furever and ever... hugs to da profgessor lee that no panic monter will come to your house...never ever...

  2. The handyman did a beautiful job and we hope it can stay this way for a good long time!

  5. Our paws are crossed that Hailey never wrecks any walls again.

  6. Phod good job snoopervising...Hailey I personally think Lady and Man owe you a huge Thank You for your paw work. Otherwise the professional job would never have happened. That being said lets hope the professional's job is permanent too
    Hugs cecilia

  7. Good job! My Dad's pretty good at fixing things. Trouble is, these days it takes him a long time to get around to it.

  8. Hari OM
A long, long, time ago, the YAMster worked in a decorator supply store and was an expert in the newly developed 'colourising' machine, by which it was possible to match tiny little swatches of very ancient colours for people who were into refurbishing Victorian homes. They did a good job with your paint - and fixing that hole!!! YAM xx

  9. Well done getting the wall all fixed up. Sometimes GMI* is better than DIY**.

  10. We hope you can keep your walls intact for a long time, as well. Poor Lee, to be so frightened. Glad you could have it pawfessionally done.

  11. BOL - we too hope it makes it longer than 10 days:) Mom used to do a lot of the odd jobs around the house, but now she says she is too old and it is so much easier to let someone else do it:)

Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  12. We agree with the Woo's, sometimes it is best to have someone who knows what they are doing

  13. OH MY! That is some very impressive work Hailey! Butts, I am sure your peeps are glads to not have holes in the walls...peeps are funny that way. BOL!
    Looks FABulous!

  14. We hope all your walls stay intact from now on. :)

  15. What a super nice job your handyperson did. Paws crossed you will not need his help in the future. If you do, I suspect the neighborhood squirrel did it, not sweet Hailey. 😍
