Do your peeps every let you lick the plate?
We got to help out with the leftover pancakes on the weekend.
Lady says we are spoiled.
She was impressed with how much we shared!
that was a kind of cooperation... youe lady got clean plates and you got a snack... I accidentally licked on a plate with mustard last week... think I'm cured and the dishwasher can lick the plates now...
Nope, Momma NEVER lets us lick the plate or anything. If we ever get people foods, it's given to us like a treat we sit for, or it's scraped in our bowls. Momma says something about it cutting down the begging.
Oh dear friends - we *all* like to lick the plate here at the Hotel Thompson. Heck one time we even saw daddy lick the plate! Snorts with piggy laughter. XOXO - Bacon
Goodness gracious Panny Cakes!? OMCs you are two lucky pups. Mom never makes them. Every now and again the food police will give me an itty bitty teeny tiny piece of something she has on her plate..........BUT not often Hugs madi your bfff
OH are you ever Lucky. Plate lickings are a CHORE that we often are tasked with. It saves Water.. no Pre Rinsing required before putting them in the Dish Licker Machine.
Licking the plate is important work. Mom barely has to wash the dishes at all. ...except for the part where she pours bleach on them because apparently my mouth is gross.
It's traditional in our house that the doggies get the last bite of food on the plate. Sometimes we get to lick the plate too, depending on what the meal was. Yum!
Hi hi hi! Ojo here! That is very good sharing indeed! Cobi would be making a snarly mouth at me if I tried that! Our people have to help us share. Also, I do not think you are spoiled! Rather you are helping with cleaning the dishes! That is hard work!
Nopes no hooman food allowed for this little sausage dog. I had a serious Chicken allergy when I was a wee pup that took a couple of years to diagnosis. Now that my tummy is well Mom refuses to tempt fate... What ever that means.
Oh you guys are SO LUCKY! Apparently Gail used to allow my predecessor Hamish the Westie lick the plate after she'd finished eating, so he came to expect it and started barking insistently (she says irritatingly) the second she put down the knife and fork. So she vowed that she would never ever create an expectation that I would be allowed the same privilege. Life can be so unfair. Toodle pip! Bertie.
Every night, as long as it something safe for them! Most of the time we have two plates so no sharing is needed, but on occasion if there's only one, they are usually good about sharing (and they've learned if anyone lets out a snarl, then it just gets taken away!).
Pawsome 'pre-wash' cycle there!
ReplyDeleteThe dishwasher will be pleased
Loves and licky kisses
