The Man got home from work last week and was getting ready to take the pups out. He normally has Hailey jump up onto the bench beside the front door to put her leash on (so he doesn't have to bend as far). Hailey was very excited, perhaps made worse by the fact that she is being weened off her prozac for the winter, and jumped up on the cabinet beside the bench.

The cupboard beside the bench - Hailey jumped by the flowers. |
She jumped up by the flowers, which the Man caught before they fell and she left a big scratch in the top. It sort of matches the scars on my arm from her love.
Another forever mark from our special girl.
Well done Hailey fur creating happy wonderful memories fur the peeps!

ReplyDeleteClimbing to the top of the world, eh Hailey? Quite right too. Tell Lady that scratches polish out and add 'patina'. You were just doing your bit for adding to the cabinet's story! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Thank goodness the flowers were caught. Dang Hailey that was a very good jump for a K9!
ReplyDeleteMom says to ask they lady if she has ever used Old English Scratch cover on furniture? We keep the light and the dark here. Doesn't cure it but for sure makes it less noticeable. Mom still has a scar on her left wrist from when our first cat was startled and jumped out of mom's arm....old English does NOT work on that. MOL

oh... wow Lee that was a leap... it's likea tattoo... it's furever&ever like the overlook-twins would say... fortunately the man was as fast as a lightning and caught the vase ...

Neat job Hayley, oh dear you were only trying to show your love. Stay safe and don't jump into any more flowers this week.
ReplyDeleteSomeday you will look at that scratch and remember and smile....
ReplyDeleteIts a memorable mark, enough said. stella rose
ReplyDeleteWhen SHE bought bedside tables, that asked if SHE wanted stressed or smooth. Stressed having been beaten with chains to make it appear old. SHE said we could stress the furniture ourselves...and we have. Hailey is just giving you antique-looking furniture and you don't have to pay extra!
ReplyDeleteWe've done that on the kitchen table.
ReplyDeleteOops. Sometimes we don't know the strength of our own leaps.
ReplyDeleteWow that is quite the jump Hailey! We used to keep a fireplace screen in front of our entertainment cabinet so Bailey would not jump against it a scratch it BOL!

Leaving your mark there, eh Hailey? :p
ReplyDeleteYa know how to leave a mark, BOL!
ReplyDeleteSomeday that same scratch will bring a smile to your face. My Golden chewed the corner of our house when he was a puppy. It is a sweet reminder of his mischievous spirit. ♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to turn the incident around!!
ReplyDeleteUHOH......well, one of those "wax crayon" things that removes/hides scratches will fix that right up!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sammy
Yea for quick reflexes, kudos to the Man for catching the flowers before they fell. Life with pups, you never know what's going to happen next. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Luke did this exact same thing one time! Only the bench he might usually jump on was behind us. I have no idea why he all of the sudden decided to jump up on a pretty high table. He put a few scratches on it. I never told my hubby, and if he noticed the scratches he never said anything. ;)
ReplyDeleteMemories in the making.
