The Man has had hockey fever. His team the Ottawa Senators made it to the playoffs.
While the Lady couldn't really give a rat's butt about hockey, she likes to tease the Man that Montreal is her team (we live in Quebec after all). She knows one player on the Canadiens, Price, who is apparently one of the best goalies in the world. [She can name at least a dozen Sens players, but that is beside the point]. So we have been having a "rivalry" in our house. Even the dogs have been forced to pick sides.
Last night was game 5. We went into game 5 with Montreal leading the series 3-1. Man sat glued to the TV while Lady did a million other things.
After game 5, what is the status?
The Sens have brought the series to 3-2 with an impressive win 5-1. In our house we are sure it is because Hailey wore her jersey all game. She thinks if that is what it takes for them to win, she wants them to loose!

We are sorry we haven't been commenting much this week. Lady has been doing her best to visit all our friends but due to some work projects hasn't had a lot of commenting time. This weekend won't be better. Lady is teach all day today and tomorrow she is going to Aunt C's new house cause Grammie and the Big Guy are visiting. Hopefully next week will be quieter.
we have no hockey here... french people can't walk on ice :o) butt my momma dislikes it when my dad is glued in front of the tv... tonight he will watch boxing.... at 4 am in the morning... think the first boxing fight starts in our bedroom tonight :o) Have a super weekend!

We can totally relate to not caring about sports. Butt we do sit with our Daddy and watch football just to make him feel good. We would much rather watch the cooking shows and drool. Now, if they could just figure out how to make Smell-O-Vision!

ReplyDeleteOh I have been known to sit and yell at the box in the corner if my team is doing something wrong... but that is for Cricket, or Rugby or Cycling or Rowing or darts.....anything but soccer (we don't have ice hockey either) - which is ironic that Blogville has now got the Barkers. I may have to make an exception. Like Hailey. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
pee ess - regarding the commenting Lady... I know how it can get a bit overwhelming at times, so what I do at those places where no useful comment can be made is click the G+ box. That way, at least folks know I came by and 'marked'..... Yxx

Oh no! Not more hockey! LOL!
ReplyDeleteWe don't follow hockey, but sometimes even if you don't follow a sport it's fun to create a little rivalry! Trust me, we know how it is to be busy so totally understand that!
ReplyDeleteGot me flummoxed about hockey but sounds fun stuff especially if you guys get to dress up, he, he, he,.... luvs

We don't really follow hockey either but the peeps have gone and watched the Stars play. They're bigger football fans especially college football and that's when our house is divided.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
Mom doesn't care much about it either. Dad likes watching it though.
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Wow, you are fabulous cheerleaders! Whether you like the sport or not, it's always fun to cheer and root and howl and snack all at the same time. BOL

Sounds like football for the US!
ReplyDeleteOh well, peace will reign in the house now that there's been a win!
ReplyDeleteWe're watching the Red Wings play Tampa Bay right now! Go Red Wings. :)
ReplyDeleteWe don't do much hockey watching. Good luck to the man's team.
ReplyDeleteRound here, da peeps all cared bout hockey for about a week when the Stars won the Stanley Cup years and years ago. Den it wuz back to football.
ReplyDeleteHi hi hi! Ojo here! The team in our house is called Canucks, because apparently we live kind of close to the place called Vancouver. This is just silliness to me... And most of my people do not watch it, but the Man who stays sometimes in our house with us does watch it and it is on right now. The only good part is that sometimes we are allowed on the couch by this Man (he sneaks us on)! Isn't that pawesome! So maybe I like hockey season, at least a little bit!
ReplyDeleteWe understand when life gets in the way of the blogging thing. We're glad that Lady's team is ahead, and you both look super cute in your shirts :)
ReplyDeleteBOL! I get that, I don't really care that much about sports, but it's fun to wear the jerseys and eat the snacks and bark at the TV!
ReplyDeleteWyatt
