Hi friends, hi friends,
My friend Jack-O-Lanie has been around a lot, I have so much to tell you about her. Sometimes she comes and rubs up against the door when I am standing there. Lady and Man have tried to encourage her to come in, but she is not having anything to do with that. Lady was talking to Callie's people, and they call her Simone, and they have been feeding her for like a year. They have not seen her since she started hanging out with me. So Lady and Man have kind of stolen their outdoor cat.

It was recently Prime day - look what I got! |
Lady looked into a program at the SPCA that let's you borrow a trap, and for a small fee with vet feral cats and you can release them. The SPCA said Lanie doesn't qualify, and wouldn't lend Man a trap so Lady and Man could just do this and take her to our vet. So Lady and Man have ordered a trap. We will keep you posted on how this plays out. Lady and Man have to talk to our vet on Monday about how they may get her in etc. If she can't be an indoor cat, she should at least be spayed and given shots etc. Then Lady and Man will look at getting her an outdoor enclosure.
The SPCA also told Lady to not feed outdoor cats, because she could start a colony. Lady laughed because she has no problem being a crazy cat Lady.
At any rate, they have had to stop feeding her at the door because the wrong friend found the food. I was the one who told my people we had the wrong visiter.
We had to let him eat before moving it.
Don't worry, no one was sprayed and Lady refilled and put Lanie's food up high.
That is the mischief going on here.
your pal, Styxy, friend to all
oooh pepe le pew... you can sent him to us... lots of fun here, we bet
ReplyDeleteWe say "poo boo" on the SPCA ... many many ferals have been trapped, TNRed and become wonderful and loving indoor kitties (just check out Brian's Home!) ... it can be done with patience and kindness. And they in time, usually adjust well to the other in-home kitties. Of course, must be vet-checked to ensure they are in good health ... but just keep trying to give this little girl the best you can, she needs you!
ReplyDeleteWe bet, in time, Jack o Lanie Simone Kitty will give in to Lady's kindness....in the meantime, that is a cute black and white kitty...have you named her?? BOL
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Rosy & Sunny (who may also have one of those black and white kitties in their yard too)
I hope Lady can trap Jack-O-Lanie and not Pepe le Pew. BOL! It sure would be nice to help her live inside instead of braving it out in the wild.

ReplyDeleteLainie Simone is about to experience the full force of love and care, just like you and Tigris did, Styx!!! Even Pepe is given respect. Mischief of this kind brings only smiles! Hugs and whiskeries YAM-aunty xxx
Styx friend to all...my old eyes might deceive me BUT I think that is a skunk. Lanie might be MIA because Pepe Le Pew has 'sprayed all over the place.
ReplyDeleteI hope Lainie Simone or Jack will return so that Lady and Man can get her to the vet for vaccines and fixing.
Hugs Cecilia
