Hi pals, hi pals,
I tired, I really tried to spring myself free when Lady opened the patio door. She wasn't fast enough to stop old Styx from racing across the deck, down the stairs to the bird feeders. She could not catch me I was the speedy Styx. So speedy (looking back, making sure my Man was following me, knowing I was in trouble). I was super fast and super brave. So fast, so brave! Fortunately the Man was fast enough to catch me eating grass. Foiled by hunger!
I asked the Lady to take the colour out of my picture because that is how I am feeling about all of this. Grey! Grey! Grey! I so want to be free (at least some of the time). I am an adventure cat!
Lady thinks she has figured out how to stop me from escaping again, but you know your old pal Styx will out smart her. I am the smartest boy ever! Outdoors for Styx, outdoors for Styx. Let's start a movement.
My journey outside was very short lived, so I didn't get to full appreciate nature. I did see this sky before I was captured and sent back to my cell of a house. It has been cold and rainy or hazy from the fires. It has not been a great spring weather wise either. It was nice to see the blue.
That was my midweek adventure into nature.
Let me be free and outside. Come spring me!
your pal, Styxy
ooh we understand... we would love to climb on trees too...

ReplyDeleteyou can take the cat in from the outside, but you can't take the outside of an outside cat. Tell her that. also, a blogger in France has an outdoor screen with tress and plants inside it and a flap door that the cats can go out and think they are outside
ReplyDeleteOh Styx...It really is rough being you!

Sorry, Styx, but I'm on the Lady's side on this one. It's not safe for kitties to roam around outside. I know us pups get to but we can be contained by leashes and fences easier than you kitties can. If you look out your windows and look up I'm sure you can see the blue sky when it's visible. That is a pretty flower you found.

ReplyDeleteStyx, mate, you gotta start working on the Man. Get him to exercise his 'he-skillz' and build that outdoor indoor catio!!! Best of all worlds. Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
There are cat areas you can construct outside so that your indoor cats can be safe and enjoy outside too.
ReplyDeleteStyx...you must learn to JUST SAY NO TO THE URGE run.....you don't know the area out doors where you live. You have no idea what stranger dangers are lurking.

You gotta stay safe, Styx, and outside is not the safest place for you. The purple Alliums are just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteStyx, I wish I could agree with you…but I think being inside is the best! ~Murphy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms. Please stay inside where it is safe. XO
ReplyDeleteYou might want to quell your desire to run before it gets you in dutch.
ReplyDeleteOutside is full of evils...just ask our angel Simba...maybe you can have a portable cat run, or have a Catio built for you and Tigris.
ReplyDeleteYou need a harness and regular walks!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely day.
