Thanks to Aunty-Yam for hosting FFF and to Rosy for hosting nature Friday!
In the time of in-between,
spring has lost winters glean,
snow is black and paws are muddy
we all think it is very cruddy!
Now our adventure:
Last weekend we walked over to Callie's house
Hi Callie! |
To check out their very fancy sugar shack!
It wasn't running yet, but should be starting this weekend so we will go over to see it. While we were there, they had put 180 taps into the trees behind our house. These taps, run down tubes to big barrels. The barrels will be brought to the shack where the magic will happen. We hope to be able to share more really soon1
Calli barking as no one is throwing a stick |
Phod having to be back on leash after wandering to eat too much deer pop. |
Reminder - tomorrow our when will the snow be gone contest closes. Please go to Monday's post for more information!
Like maple sugars? Mmm! (p.s., perhaps we were wrong about the snow lasting til the 4th of July, ya think?)

Muddy snow (and mud) is no fun. We can't wait to learn more about the maple sugar operation. Will you get some made from your own trees?
