Mischief Monday - TRAITOR by Hailey

In October Lady went away for 3 nights and then one the next week. She said she would be around more after that. So imagine my surprise when Lady packed her bag on Saturday and said she would be back Sunday.

Both Phod and I gave her the saddest eyes ever, but she still left. I am not going to write here how much fun we had with the Man (the Lady may see it and call me a liar, liar), but I will say we survived.

We were very happy to have Lady home Sunday morning. Imagine our surprise when she came back smelling like other dogs. While our noses don't lie, we also went through her phone and found these. Clear evidence she was a traitor.

She was out giving love to other dogs.

After demanding a belly rub, and making her share lunch, I gave her the cold shoulder all afternoon to teach her a lesson. She should not go to a friend's for a girls' night if that friend has dogs and we can't go.

Do your people cheat on you?

  4. They always have excuses about why we can't go and then we find evidence other dogs were there. Satufday we smelled sheep, apalcas, and other animals we would have happily herded, but again she says there was a sign, no dogs.

  6. Wow, I have the exact same problem! It's a horrible thing. I go off to doggie jail and my peeps come home (finally) smelling like FnE. Oh, the indignation. Your Lady totally owes you extra skritches and foodables fur sure. Humpf.

Strewth, the liberty your Lady took with the truth!!!! If I were you I'd even refuse a couple of treats and get her thinking you have REALLY dumped her; she'll do anything to win your love again! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  11. OMD Yes my mom cheats! She will love on dogs and cats and she doesn't even have to know the peep that it belongs to. She comes home most days smelling of some doggie.

  12. Peeps are so fickle. SHE usually comes home smelling like our friend Millie....we don't mind that, but if SHE smells of cat...we give her the cold shoulder, too.

  19. Rita here. My mother recently abandoned me for TWO nights! TWO! (Okay, not totally abandoned... I was home working hard to keep Daddy from being too sad withouth Momma.) Not only did she come home smelling like a dog - she came home smelling like one of my best buddies, my cousin Reg! WtH?! She and Reg went away without me??? Terrible. But I confess, I was so happy to see her, I didn't give her the cold shoulder. I will next time! Thanks for the great idea! Glad you survived without your momma.

  23. You have a right to feel betrayed, she has a lot of explaining to do. I have also been betrayed and I know how you feel. Use it to your advantage and get treats as long as you can.

  25. Mom doesn't cheat too bad... but she does say she going to "work" and then come home smelling like one of my hiking buds! She says she "only stopped by for a minute" or that she "had to drop something off" but I'm certain she's lying!

  26. Oh my... the nerve of her! ;) Sadly, yes I did used to "cheat" on Shiner just about everyday. But it was my job! I always got a real good sniffing when I came home from work.
