During our hike in the sugar bush last weekend, we were impressed by how much greener everything has become in the past week. It is amazing how fast the leaves grow.
We will not pose when so much to smell! |
Besides the green, one of Lady's searches was for the trillium. Off the highway there are spots with hundreds or thousands growing. Around our house, they tend to grow alone. Lady was happy to find one near the trail edge.
Pretending to pose but busy looking elsewhere |
We love walking in the bush. Thanks to Callie and her people for sharing it with us!
oh what a cute flower... like a little girl ;O)
ReplyDeleteThe trillium is such a gorgeous wildflower!
ReplyDeleteBeau said to tell you NEVER stop to pose when in the throes of a sniffarama! that is why he loves the park, it looks a lot like this and has heavenly smells of critters.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful trillium you found. They are very rare around here and only found in a few nature preserves. That sure is nice of Callie and her people to let you walk on their property.

ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky with your neighbour-friends... and all that spring beauty around you! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
We haven't see a trillium in ages! But I remember seeing them blooming by the thousands along a highway many years ago. I don't even remember where.
ReplyDeleteOh, but it's so nice to finally see some greenery after so many months of dreariness! We can look out our windows and not see any of the neighbors' houses. Only beautiful green leaves! I'm sure it'll be like that for you soon too!
I love when the leaves are just starting to pop open on trees.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely place to walk. Trillium is very pretty too
Hugs Cecilia

One of my favorite days is the one where everything turns green.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing lovelier than the sight of fresh greenery after a long dark winter. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteNo snow? Ah, trillium. Once had the pure delight of seeing a blanket of trillium covering the forest floor near the upper peninsula in Michigan ... what an extraordinary sight it was, as far as
ReplyDeleteone could see, petals of white.
Starting look like summer.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe.
Wish we had a fun trail like that near our house. The trillium is very pretty. This is Mom's favorite time of the year when everything is so new and fresh and green.
