Thanks to our dear friend Rosy for hosting Nature Friday.
Lady, you must stop working right now and take me outside.
Editor's note: At this time we have between 4-8 wild turkeys every day at the feeder. They are there most of the day eating the sunflower seeds the birds and squirrels drop. While wild turkeys usually walk, they can fly short distances to roost in the trees. Nothing brings Phod more joy than chasing them up trees.
Phod your eyes are sooo beautiful and they just mesmerize me.. what a fun job, making turkeys fly into trees..
ReplyDeletePhod is an excellent-turkey chaser, I am certain.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to see all those turkeys up close. Maybe you can fatten one up for that special meal. BOL!

I hope Lady listened to you and you are out chasing Abby and the girls!
ReplyDeleteWe also have wild turkeys living in our valley here in rural New Zealand. While they do not come onto our garden, peacocks do and they are fun to chase for a maremma. I don't know about turkeys but peacocks are very noisy.
ReplyDeleteOh Phoddy...that is me every morning with the morning doves(and when it's warmer, the bunny)in our backyard! Maybe there will be turkeys in our new backyard!!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Rosy
Oh my cod! Look at all those turkeys! We had one in our yard today too...but only one.
ReplyDeleteWingtastic Phod! I too love to chase those turkeys; when huMom isn't looking. 💜 nose nudges 💜
ReplyDeleteWe used to have wild turkey here at our place, but it is too built up now, and the turkey and quail have moved on. Yours are beautiful, Phod!
ReplyDeleteChasing birds is super fun. I always wonder what I'd do if I ever caught one. NOT that I am ever anywhere near close. But yikes. *shiver*
ReplyDeleteLove and licks,
Cupcake
Heh, heh, it's a little early to be thinking of Thanksgiving, Phod. Enjoy keeping those birds on their toes!
