Happy Victoria Day to our Canadian Friends!
We hope you are enjoying the finally it is nice out weather!
We had the most terrible day on Saturday.
First, the peeps put me on my tie out and then went where I couldn't see them. I had to bark and carry on.
Then they moved me to where I could watch and there were 3 loud booms. Lady thought gun fire (it may be turkey season), the Man thought fireworks, but whatever it was, it was very scary and I pulled and pulled to go inside. It wasn't even noon. Lady said I was pulling so much she couldn't get my tie out off. I was very stressed for a while after, although fortunately there were no more booms. (I am still not on my prozac).

Apparently this is a safe spot |
That was our terrible day!

ReplyDeleteWhat a stressful and terrible day for you both. I can tell just how upset you are by your tail, Hailey.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awful!! Our power went out twice this weekend, and it's NO fun.

Tomorrows post will talk about our bad day.. think high winds and rain and ligtning and booms and radio sirens going off. we are fine like you are. also Big has a safe place like Phods, the kitchen breakfast bar is his safe hole... so sorry your day was bad... we are doing the same with our two cars, they each get run once a week

ReplyDeletePhoddy, the kitchen is my 'safe place' too...;~{}
So not nice for you both. I hope that not too many days like this occur!
Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
We're sorry to hear you both had a bad weekend and hope the week ahead is much better.
ReplyDeleteOh dear. Let's hope for some good days to come.
ReplyDeleteOh my, that does sound a bit stressful. We are so glad Sunday went a bit easier for you!

OMGoodness! You two had to be SO BRAVE with all that upsetting stuff going on. I am happy you made it through successfully. You can't let perfect be the enemy of good. You were good!! Well done.
ReplyDeleteLove and licks,
Cupcake
Perhaps you can get your people to let you check in to a 4-star hotel with a VERY quiet suite with doggy room service on the next Victoria Day.
ReplyDeleteOh no! We hope there aren't any more terrible days like that any time soon.
ReplyDeleteThe peeps here have the same problem with their cars. Mom gets hers out once or twice a week, but not Dad. Mom doesn't like to drive his, so they too took a joyride today:)
ReplyDeleteLightning sympathizes with both of your for being scared by noises and power outages. He has been getting to walk more often now with Mom, but with this stay-at-home stuff, there are bicyclists everywhere!!! He is just terrified of bikes and pulls to go home as soon as he sees ONE even if it is on the other side of the street:(
Woos, Lightning and Timber
I guess I'm lucky that none of those things bother me. Hope you guys don't have to deal with them too much in the future.
ReplyDeleteOh no - those booms sound terrible. I'm glad that you both survived that horrendous day.
ReplyDeleteNo pups on the Joy Ride?!?
Oh Phod, I am the same way with the power outages! I don't likes them at all! Though, the worse part is when it comes back on, and all the electronics and appliances start beeping! I HATES beeping! I try and hide in Ma's room. Hailey, your tail is tucked so tight, it's like me when Ma comes at me with the ear meds! I am glads there were no more booms. ♥
ReplyDeleteStay safe my furiends!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
So sorry for the bummer of a day. Hopefully you've both recovered and things are looking up now.
