Our Sunday Walk

On Sundays when it isn't icy we go for a special walk. We walk down the road, past our favourite street, then down our second favourite street. Instead of staying in the valley, where there are a lot of good sniffs we go up the hill.

The road is called Sarrisan. It is very steep.  It is perfect for a Sunday walk. Lady won't do it when it is icy because it is sooooo steep.

Our pictures don't really capture how steep it is.  (Lady had us alone with her phone so it was hard)

Near the top

Looking down

You can see how it looks like the road disappears

This spring our walk has been extra special because there has been a piece of deer hid near the top that we get to sniff and roll on. Lady says as long as we don't try to eat it she is ok with us smelling it!

Do you have a special weekend walk?

I look at the hills out my window and wish I was 20 years younger... but a walk along the promenade listening to the Clyde estuary's wavelets lapping the shore is about as good as it gets round here! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  2. wow I wonder why this road suddenly ended after that hill... hope it isn't the highway from that song by ac/dc... but the mama said that can be such a highway ... if I would walk along there with eating the deer-bonbons hehehe

  4. That steep walk looks like our Briarcliff Street and Cromwell Street where my dad grew up! It's a great workout, isn't it!

  5. What a lovely and peaceful walk. I wouldn't try it uphill as I'd be puffing away half way up the hill. A good sniff just make smy day...how about you two?

  8. Sunday walks are always the best!
Gail says she has the same problem when trying to take a photo showing the steepness of a hill. Like we went up one this afternoon that was almost vertical, but you wouldn't know it from any of her photos.

  11. That sure looks like a great walk. We haven't gotten many walks lately because it has been raining all the time and our pawrents are too busy with all this kitchen stuff.

  12. What a fun walk! And such pretty scenery to see too. Not to mention getting to sniff some vishus deer. :)

  13. I'm relatively sure that if there was a "piece of deer" anywhere near here, I would not be allowed to go near it and Mom would likely have a mental breakdown. Your mom is brave.

  14. That is quite a fall off. Be careful in the icy weather.

  15. You can see that it's a steep walk, so I can see why you wouldn't want to do it in bad weather. But you can smell and don't touch anytime! :-)

  16. People would have a less health troubel if they walk.

  18. We like to walk in our own woods, but it's been so muddy we haven't been able to much. That steep hill looks like a good workout for everyone!
