Aunt C and Uncle D noticed blood on the floor. They followed it backward to the bathroom, which they describe as a "crime scene." It appears Lupul, aka, Loopy, jumped off the counter and landed on the metal furnace vent and cut his paw badly. He had to go to emerg. There his paw was "glued" back together, he was given antibiotics and pain meds and sent on his way. At the follow up, it appeared the cut was open a bit again (but healing), likely because he had been over licking it, so poor Loopy must spend the next 2 weeks wearing the cone of shame. Aunt C and Uncle D plan on replacing the metal vents with plastic ones so no one cuts themselves on one again.

ReplyDeletePoor Loopy!! Back before I joined the family, my kitty sister Pigeon had to wear a cone after her spay, and she kept bumping into doorways. Once Momma could hear this rhythmic "thump...thump...thump> and when she went to investigate, she saw poor Pigeon trying to get into her covered litterbox! BOL!
