Mischief Monday - Weather

Hi friends, hi friends, hi friends,

Thank you from the bottom of my future too big heart for all the POTP and kind thoughts sent my way. I really am doing well and I love, love, love my pill. I jump up on the counter to get it. I think the girls are jealous that I get a special treat.

Lanie and I love to look out the window together

It has been a quiet week here, except we were alone way, way, way too long Saturday. Lady and Man went out for dinner and to a movie and then 10 minutes from home, they hit a road block. We had a bad, bad, bad thunderstorm while they were in the city and the low road (the highway) and the only other reasonable detour (the mountain road) had flooded. The firefighter said they had no idea when they may be able to open again, so a tired Lady and Man had to take a detour that took about 1.5 hours. 1.5 hours! They drove so, so, so long without a break, Lady's car gave Man a reminder that he should take a break (they were almost home then so he was not, not, not, going to stop).

We saw this the next morning and thought this could sum up our life

At the time of this writing on Sunday, the detour was open but the highway was still closed and may be closed for several days.

Your pal, the great watcher and waiter, Styxy

  2. You two are so cute looking out your window. I'm glad your peeps were able to make it home to you even if they did have to take a very long detour.

  5. It's good that you're taking your pills and you don't mind them, Styx, and I"m sure your peeps were exhausted when they finally got home. How funny - we smelled a skunk at 1am this morning when we went out for business and thank goodness we never saw him!

  6. I'm very sad their lovely evening out had such a long, awful ending to it.

It sounds like you are a very smart cat and know taking your pill is good for you. When I have to give a cat medicine, I make sure to have small, low calorie treats in the house and give two to the medicine taker and one to all the other cats who are around and know the medicine taker got a treat. It helps.

  7. You peer out the window the way I do. That is a stinky to your evening, as stinky as that skunk.

  8. Wow, that was a terrible ending to a great evening out for your peeps, Styx. We smell skunks around here and see dead ones along the road sometimes, but rarely do we see any. I guess that is a good thing!
