Nature Friday - Spring!

Thanks to Rosy for hosting this event.

First up, while its blooms are all done, Lady has a funny story about our daffodil. She had bought it for Easter last year and when she was done, threw it outside behind the composter. Well, it grew and bloomed!

Next up is the apple tree at the end of our lane in the field. These pictures were taken a few hours before the derecho and the tree was damaged. It lost a big branch and many blooms in the the storm.  We will see how many apples come this year for our deer friends.

We all watched it and watched the bees enjoying it. Our neighbour D reminded us the fuzzy bees are good and we aren't allowed to kill them.

Lady says it is amazing to think what a beautiful day it had been before the storm.

Your neighbourhood patrol - Lady, D, Callie, Phod and Lee!

Such beauty... shame the storm stamped on it - but one thing we know about nature... it will come back better! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  8. We were lucky that big storm didn't affect us too badly. But it did knock out some of the pear tree blossoms. But it looks like plenty of pears are starting to grow now. Oh, and we have a compost pile, and sometimes we find garden flowers growing in it too.

  12. Hi friends, Ojo here! Your blossoms look like snow! But hurray that it is not snow! And hurray for sunny day Walks! But not-hurray for the flying-buzz-buzz things. I do not like them. But don't try to bite them either, that is bad.
