Nature Friday - Snow Contest Update

Thanks to Rosy for hosting this event!

Today is our first check in and the date of our first guess by Nelly and Phenny.
These pictures were taken at lunch yesterday, it was raining a lot.

Things are starting to grow! (Lady planted a lot of bulbs, let's see what we get).

This is the front yard:

This is the backyard:

Now it has rained a lot and is going to rain more, but if Lady was to guess, the snow won't be gone by the end of the day.  If Lady was going to guess, she would say, looking at how fast it has melted the last few days, the snow will be gone next week, which would mean Susan, with April 21 would be the winner.

We are hoping June is wrong! (Thanks to June for this submission!)

Stay tuned to find out when it is gone!

  3. Well, as the holder of late April guess, one day after Yam!, I was happy to see the backyard! However, my cousin in Williamsburg, Ont. (S Dundee) says the snow is gone from her yard. I wonder if she means all 92 acres....

Oh yes, that is much more advanced clearance than previous years... I am still hopeful for my birth date though! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. some of it is gone, but what if it snows again, then there will be more and the melt away date will change. I see where my son in TN is getting more snow today

  11. Wow, talk about a quick melt! Had to chuckle about June's tongue in cheek 'prediction.' Too funny.
