Nature Friday - Contest Update

 Hi pals,

Some of you were trying to remember when the snow left previous years, so Lady went back through the blog and found the following contest winning days: April 26, 2017, May 11, 2019 and May 3rd 2020. This year, it is looking like the snow may be gone the earliest it has in the past few years. An early spring would be extra appreciated as we face the 3rd wave of the pandemic.

Early spring does not mean an escape of the hat tax.

Let's recap the people's whose guesses are before the next Nature Friday.

LLB Gang – April 3

Gemma’s person – April 4

Cecilia – April 8

Here is pictures from the yard around 3:30 yesterday afternoon. It was very cold yesterday.

It is going but not gone. Will it be warm enough the next few days to melt it? Stay tuned!

  5. I am known as MADsnapper for a reason. what i see in the first photo, is Lee as a Music Staff, the pillow is the bars and it looks Like Phod has laid an Easter egg. Just sayin. your yard is wonderful and one I wish Beau could run in... hope the snow melts early, although Phod might not feel that way.. we are having a 4 day weather swing downward but not that cold.

  6. Our snow was all gone, including the giant parking lot glaciers, a couple weeks ago. But yesterday it snowed all day! Today there's still some on the grass, but it'll soon melt.

  9. We don't think the snow is going to last through this month so we bet we're out of the running. Maybe next year.

  10. Oh dear, we may be way off this year. But we know it will make you happy to be free of the snow so much earlier in April. Happy weekend.

  13. Wow, can't believe so much melted. It'll be 80 this weekend so our blizzard 24" snowstorm from two weeks ago is but a distant memory. Now the push to spruce up the garden beds is front and center. Have a great Easter weekend.
