Mischief Monday - The Weather

Oh pals, the weather here has been something else.

It was super hot. It got up to 42C or 107F outside. Since we don't have the a/c it got 28/82 in the house. Keep in mind cheap Lady keeps the house maybe be 18/64 in the winter. This felt so hot. We sort of all just lazed around. It wasn't even cooling down at night so having the windows open didn't help. We did go for a pack swing one night. Lady didn't take a camera. 3/4 of us totally went into the water, and the 4th went in further than she ever has before. She let her belly get wet. She also let the Man put water on her back.

Too hot to even play ball

Now with this extreme heat came some other problems. The main one being thunder. The thunder was very short lived but the power was out for like 6 hours.

After destroying some things in Lady's office, Lee was able to settle.

Phod was able to supervise the Lady's work (and actually, no picture taken because Lady couldn't move settled under her desk). He is not winning the bravery award.

It looks like this coming week will be cooler, but we will have to be brave!

  3. OMD - 107 degrees is too un-doGly hot for anybuddy. We can't seem to get rid of our hot humid weather either but it only goes to 90 and that's hot enough for me!

  4. I'm reading all the comments and from reading your blog it looks like we're all suffering the same type of heat! But we do have air conditioning but it's been so hot that in the afternoon and evening hours the air conditioner which is 16 years old struggles and struggles to even keep the house to where we can breathe. And I agree with yamini our world is k e r a z y

  5. NO a/c...oh my goodness I would just melt into a blob and would not be able to sleep with it that warm. I had no idea it was as up in Canada as here.
If I had any cool air I'd wishfully send it but I don't. We have triple digit heat index predicted for several days this week

  7. Wow that sure is super hot! We're glad we have AC and don't think we could survive without it.

  8. We have those crazy hot temps headed here this week. We hope our a/c cranks out the cool air so we can keep our furs from roasting. We will cross our paws for no more thunder there or power outages. Hugs.

  9. We're having the same kind of weather here too. The weatherman said this morning that we're nearing the record for consecutive 90+ degree days - Since that means it's cooler here, I'll send some cool air up there! :-) Take care my friends and enjoy your week that I hope is thunder-less. I hope ours is too.

  11. We're with you, extreme temps are not our favorite either. Hope things calm down a bit. Only 69 days and counting until autumn arrives though you may not be ready for what follows, I'm so over summer this year.

  12. We've got a heat wave here too! Good thing we have AC. Dad would not survive without it, him being a stocky Finn! Try to keep cool, pups! (Sorry to hear about the t-storms.)
