If instead of being in jail, we got to go with our people to Oregon, this is what we would have done -
We would have run with the buffalo in the Calgary Airport during our 3 hour stop over.
We would have met some friends at the zoo.

We would have made friends with a monkey.
We would have been very good in the car as we drove from Portland to Rockaway Beach.
We would have enjoyed walking on the beach by the ocean. We wouldn't have appreciated the rocks the way the Lady did (we will share those pictures later)
We would have loved all the good smells of walking in the woods.
Most importantly we would have cherished the time spent with friends.

that would be wonderful I agree... but hey maybe your mom can bring such a giraffe home? it can grab the things the humans place on top of the cabinets...

Oregon would have been a long way to go. Sure glad I got to take my boys on vacation with me. They sure enjoyed running on the beach even if they don't like to swim. If your Mom is looking for a dog friendly cottage on the east coast, I know a place.
