NOT FAIR
Lee and Phod: The Lady has packed up 87 million bags to go away for 87 million days. She has left us with the Man. He doesn't get up at 5 to take us on a 3 km (1.8 mile) walk. And how is the Lady going to get her steps without us? The Man might not be as strict on our schedule. He doesn't always put special treats in our dinner. How are we going to live?!?!?!?!? To make it worse Lady has gone to a very fun place with beach and water and where we are allowed to go if she wasn't mean! Sigh!
The Lady: I have taken the 700 km (434 mile) drive to visit my parents. The last time I saw my dad he was still in the hospital (November 2016). While the dogs are welcome here I thought it would be a more relaxing visit for me and one where I could be more helpful without them. They are going to be just fine with the Man. I am returning Sunday, so it isn't quite 87 million years.

ReplyDeleteNo, not for you Lady... but for Lee and Phod it absolutely is!!! (guess who's side I'm on???)
Seriously though, safe travels and all the best for a warm and meaningful visit. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

ReplyDeleteMomo & Pinot xo
Ohhhhh Kten give your parents a big hug from me and tell them how special their daughter is!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny about the Man and how he serves the pups.
When my daughter was 5 1/2 I went back to work. I had to be away one weekend for a training session. My daughter was sure she would starve ...she wasn't concerned about her Daddy. LOL
Lo and behold when I got home the first thing she said to me was, "mommy did you know Daddy knew how to pour milk and orange juice"? I said is that all you had to eat then she spilled the beans about eating pizza and hot dogs. LOL
Hugs HiC
Oh Id say sue this to your guys advantage to get all the treats and snooozes that you want. Maybe she will bring you back something really special.

Enjoy the visit with your 'pawrents.' It's a guaranty the dogs and their dad will survive. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteI hope the Man surprises you and you guys have a great time until the Lady comes home.
ReplyDeleteYou poor babies! How will you ever survive?!?!?
ReplyDeletePuppy Growls,
Lucy
A man's work is from sun to sun, but a mother's work is never done.
ReplyDeleteSurvival of the fittest and you two are fit have fun with the Man.
Thanks for being a friend

What??!! Lady thinks she could have a more relaxing visit without you??!! There's something wrong there. We hope she has an attack of guilts and brings you presents and treats....just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your visit. And Hailey and Phon - Dads are the best caretakers - they really know how to spoil their furries.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning and Misty
Mom says she understands - sometimes you need to know the "kids" are safe at home when you have other things to consider. Enjoy your visit with your Dad

Our Mama says she is going to Texas without us this year too, and says she gets is...Luckily, our Daddy gives us even MORE treats than she does.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, we bet you can talk your Man into giving you lots of treats if you just give him your sad eyes!
I know those feelings when you have your "left-behinders" that are best at home. Safe travels, and we'll see you in 87-million years, or on Sunday whichever comes first! Take care and enjoy your trip!
ReplyDeleteWe so understand those long treks to visit our aging parents. It's fun, and yet, it's seriously stressful as well. We can't both afford to fly out every single time I go (I spent $60,000 on airfare in the last 5 years with all the trips) so husband will stay home while I go. It's too far to drive though, so flying, and usually on short notice due to a medical issue is usually in the cards.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get some time to relax when you get home.
Your dogs are safe and sound..spend as much time as you need - guilt free - with your father. he and you deserve it!
ReplyDeleteOh noes!!!!! You're gonna be without your MOMS??!!! Oh the HORRORS!!!! Oh, waits.....you DO know that the male peeps are SOOOO much more generous with the snacks and cookies, right??! Just flash him your sad puppy eyes, and give a little whine, and VOILA! Treaties galore!
ReplyDeleteTell your Moms to have a most FABulous time with her peeps, and keep safe on your travels and see you in 87 years...
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Oh indeed our animals tend to exaggerate SLIGHTLY when they talk about us not taking them with us sometimes.....I'm sure it SEEMS like 87 years but I think it's a great idea to get a "break" once in a while too especially visiting your Dad. Have a good visit - when you get home you can give Lee and Phod 87 kisses!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
We're very glad your Dad is doing well. Hang in there, doggies. It's for a good cause.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that lady's Dad is doing well. Peeps always seem to think that they'll have a more relaxing time without us doggies - I can't think why BOL Nose licks and love from Moth xx

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your visit! Our Mama understands . . .she claims getting anything done is easier when we aren't all tagging after her! How rude!
the critters in the cottage xo
Oh my, don't know how you are going to get out of feeling guilty for this one :P
ReplyDeletePhew, I had a little drop in my heart rate when I thought you might have gone to BlogPaws and that I had missed you!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great visit with your parents.
