Mischief Monday - The Mad Peer

First, to all our Canadian friends, Happy Victoria Day! We have been spending as much time as possible outside (when Lady has been home, she went into the city for a sleepover this weekend), even though the bugs are back. It has been lovely. Strangely, there have been hardly any fireworks . . . .  We will just enjoy that.

As discussed previously on this blog, sometimes, someone has been peeing on the dog beds, that are impossible to wash. We took all your ideas and decided to go to the thrift shop to purchase some comforters for the pups. Easy to wash, easy to travel with, we don't care if they get ripped apart.
The one suspected of peeing

The one who didn't do it
The pups seem to have loved these new blankets. Particularly the one we currently have upstairs. However, someone, haven't decided if it is dog or cat, has peed on them and has started peeing on the bathmats.

We have been letting Hailey have access to the whole house at night so that Nin can sleep with us. We suspect some of it may be happening then.

Our solution has been to pick up the bathmats and to hope this is a phase that ends.

Never a dull moment around here!

  4. Maybe you should set up a hidden camera. We have a similar problem from time to time.

P.s: blogger is playing games and hiding our posts. We are still posting so please stop by

  5. Well, it sounds like you came up with a good idea with the comforters and blankets. It is a shame the unknown peer has now taken to peeing on the bath mats. I'm with Pip; maybe a hidden camera would help!

  13. Peeing on the beds, huh? Maybe you can have a big Costco bed and take the cover off it, wrap it in plastic, then put the cover back on? BTW, YES, the pews are very nicely padded!

  17. Everything's washable here! Everyone but Nola is crated at night, but I know if I have something that can't be washed, she'll puke on it at least once....

  18. Vaks has a few times had an accident when we got him, but mom washed with chlorine so there was no smell left, and it helped so he stopped.

  19. Mom has mats, beds and whatever we get on washable.....but we all wear diapers that she can put pampers in, and she made them....and now we very seldom even go in them......not fun having a wet rear all night!

  22. If we need to pee in the middle of the night, we make sure a human gets up to let us out. Can't figure out why a human would grumble about that....

  25. I'm just coming in on this conversation, so I'm not sure if someone has suggested this or not, but have the pets all been checked for UTI's? I believe peeing where they shouldn't is a common symptom. Also, older altered females sometimes have a little incontinence due to weakened muscles. They do have medication for that.
