Our cousin Emma came and spent Christmas with us. We didn't know if she and Uncle Chris would be able to come cause we had no power, but they could and it was great.

Emma wearing a sweater Lady gave her. It was Loki's and fits great! |
For those of you new to our blog, my Lady says I need to tell you about Emma. Emma is a 1 year old puppy. Her mom was rescued from a horrible breeding facility in Quebec last year. Her mom is what they call a Freedom dog, and Emma is the first generation born into freedom. While our Uncle Chris was in Afghanistan on tour, he told our Lady to find him a puppy. He wanted a Westie. Our Lady found him Emma (whose mom is a Westie and her dad, we don't know, best guess rat terrier or something like that). Anyway, Emma is our cousin, who I find less offensive now that she doesn't play bitey face the same. She is more spoiled then me, so I am a little jealous.
Everyone was a little nervous how Phody was going to be with her. Since we live in the middle of no where we don't see a lot of other dogs. Turns out Phody was a gentleman. He wasn't sure how to play with Emma at first, and when he did he was very gentle.
I just sort of ignored her and took all the stuff.
At any rate, except for the fact that she peed everywhere, it was nice to have Emma over and we would love to have her visit again soon.
How nice! Isn't funny how you always worry about one dog, and that dog always behaves? People are so weird that way.

People is weird! They just need to trust us more.
DeleteEmma sure is a cutie!
ReplyDeleteLovies, miss mindy
She is very cute! She gets away with stuff cause she is so cute.
DeleteHey Lee, Hey Phod, Jet here.
ReplyDeletePlease thank your Uncle for his service for us if you would. How cool that your Lady found a Freedom dog for your Uncle in light of the Freedom he's fighting for on our behalf. :) Emma looks adorable, love her sweater!
Many humans worry about how us big guys will treat more petite K9s... I'm super gentle with the petite ones, too. Dixie is maybe 10 lbs and Neve is about 24!
We are very proud of our Uncle Chris for serving. Our Lady says it is hard for her to imagine him as a soldier sometimes cause when she meet him he was like 9 years old. We never thought about the freedom connection (maybe cause our Lady likes to pretend he isn't fighting, she refers to it as camping when he is away, helps her sleep better).
DeleteSince we are so good, Emma can come anytime!
Oh my Phod was such a gentle giant. How lovely they were playing together. Nice one. We are glad Emma got on with yours. Have a super Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Thanks Molly, once Phod figured out how to play with her, they had fun!
DeleteYay for Phod...love Emma's sweater so nice of you to share. Yes, please tell your Uncle thanks for his service! Happy New Year :)
ReplyDeleteThe sweater wasn't doing any good sitting in a cupboard . . . .might as well be used. Will pass the message on to Chris. We are grateful he has returned safely from both tours.
DeleteWhat fun. We love play dates
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
It was so much fun! Even if she doesn't play right!
DeleteEmma is just adorable!!!!!!!! Wish Dakota had more doggy friends to play with!
ReplyDeleteWe wish we lived closer to the city sometimes to have more play dates/go to parks, but an hour one way doesn't always work!

Lee has just never figured out how to play in a big pack. She can play 1:1, but if there is more she just stands there.
DeletePhod is playing with her so well... she's super cute! And Lee, you're doing a great job of supervising!
ReplyDeleteI am the best supervisor. Lee
DeleteThat's great! Yes, Lee...you are a terrific supervisor!
ReplyDeleteThanks Murray.
DeleteGlad you had a great time with your doggie cousin!
